Notice to applicants
Dear Applicants, dear Performer Candidates, dear Friends!
We receive many-many letters every day from bands, from creators of theatre plays, from singers, and from young and non-young people who are all wondering whether they could have a chance to perform, to manifest themselves on the Ördögkatlan Festival. The right thing, and the correct thing from the Festival organizers, would be to answer everybody individually; but we simply don’t have time and energy for that. Anyway, we could only write the same thing to everyone: we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. We ask for patience because we cannot see our options yet (and would like to know how far we can reach), as well as we ask for your understanding because we know we may not be able to invite all of the applicants.
It is a great honour for us to see how many people want to show themselves on the Ördögkatlan Festival. This indicates the ranking of the festival – which also gives as a big responsibility. We know that it does matter how we put the programme together. We are led by the desire to exceed ourselves every year and to make the next year’s programme even better than the last year’s. What is more, we also want to provide an opportunity to newcomers, beginners and to renewing progressives. And it will be like that. But seeing the hundreds of applicants, we also acknowledge that many of you will not fit into our schedule. Please don't have any hard feelings for that.
According to our plans and to the experience of previous years, by the end of April we will compile the final programme. Until then, fingers crossed for us to succeed in the gathering of the financial foundations of the Cauldron.
