Les Touffes Krétiennes
French Bands ‘’Les hurlements d’leo’’, ‘’Fils de teuhpu’’, ‘’Ogres de Barback’’ first imagined this project with others bands joining them on the road, and the main idea was to form a band to go and play cover-songs in Barcelona with their ‘’own style’’. Unexpectedly, the project lasted longer then the only Spanish parties. What had become a Crazy Punk Brass Band, kept playing until nowadays.
Now, after winning national acclaim, and going through 500 concerts , festivals, birthdays, barmitzvas, weddings and funerals, all over France and Europe, the Touffes Kretiennes Orchestra has even recorded an album with CHINOI, previously sound engineer of ‘’MANO NEGRA’’.
This Funky Brass Band can appear with 9, 12, 15 or even 17 musicians on stage, depending on who is free for each ‘’next’’ tour, who’s not sick, who wants to have a ‘’rock’n’roll’’ ‘’take it easy’’ ‘’on the road’’ way of life.
Their set went through the Clash, The Kinks, Bangles, Dee lite, Mardi gras brass band .. and the ‘’saturday-nightish’’ saxophones, trombones and trumpets will just keep you jumping all night, while the ska punk rock rhythm section will put electricity through you, and keep you in the groove..
The band, which is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, will throw a surprise party on the Nagyharsány football pitch: they’ll blow off the birthday candles together with Besh o droM and Womboo Orchestra, and of course with the stomping Katlan-goers!
