CAMINUS on the Ördögkatlan

CAMINUS is the collective of the one generation younger organizers of the Ördögkatlan. They’re thirtysomethings who attend the festival since the beginnings, either as visitors or performers, or help here and there with the organization. They’re actors, directors, musicians, choir members, cultural specialists, TV producers, artisans, theatre stage managers, director assistants, acting students, acting teachers, acting trainers, impro actors, dancers, stuntmen, playmasters, educators, theatrical producers, and other creatives, as well as cooks, bakers, bartenders, other restaurateurs – a total of app. 160 people.

The Caminus program series is organized by a community gathering in the spirit of the Ördögkatlan, that is, all come there, are together and bring their works in progress, or what they’d like to show from themselves. The CAMINUS yard is open all day, located at the Smith Manor House of Kisharsány and its surroundings – all ages welcome.

The word ‘caminus’ stands for fire, fireplace, furnace – figuratively, for the warmth of home. All Katlan inhabitants are invited for this: to sit by the fire, to listen to stories, to watch theatre performances, to listen to concerts, to eat and drink and join this five-day get-together.



The CAMINUS is the joint venture of the Ördögkatlan Festival, Kisharsány, the Hungarian Theatre Academy of Pest, the Veled Kerek child camp, the Soharóza choir, the Momentán Company, the Adj Hangot Foundation (Prison Radio) and of their guests.
