ÓBUDAI DANUBIA-KOMMANDÓ / "Commando" of the Danubia Orchestra Óbuda

- Silent classical disco

Charge yourself up with classical music! In the Nagyharsány village centre, next to the Barefooted Mensa, one may select from a vast collection of classical music and chill on comfortable bean bags while listening to the piece on wireless headphones. One may rest amidst the swirl of the festival while relaxing with Beethoven, Strauss, Bach, Stravinsky, Mozart or Tchaikovsky. While the grownups relax, children can visit the "instrument petting area".

- Mozart commando

Between 4th and 6th August, Mozart's commando occupies the festival. They might show up and play music anywhere, anytime. In the church, at the street corner, in the buffet, in the school, on the playground, on the meadow, or on the football pitch. On the hands of the Danubia Orchestra Óbuda lies the best weapon, i.e. music, and they're not afraid to use it! The members of the Orchestra will scatter around in the festival area and will briefly stop the by-passers by playing Mozart pieces. They'll go through the festival and show that Mozart, and the classical music itself, is not "dangerous" at all, that this music is not that serious and not so frightening as one could believe.

- Final reckoning - Kisharsány, Smith Mansion

The Final Reckoning will take place at the end of the festival, in the Smith Mansion at Kisharsány. The Orchestra comes together; the commandos play the full pieces they performed. 3 commandos will duel with each other. However, here already the full "army" will play. The commandos will determine, by a life-or-death musical competition and a terror preventing introduction and by asking for the audience's judgment, who will be the most Mozarty commando on the Festival. The leader of the winning commando will perform a theme from a concerto with the Orchestra. Subsequently, the "losing" commandos will take over the stage 'spontaneously' and perform their concertos too. (List of the pieces to be performed: Duo onto a violin and a viola; Quintet onto horn and a string quartet; Oboe quartet; a theme from Mozart's violin concerto; Oboe concerto in C major; theme from Mozart's horn concerto)

- Chocolate ball concert, Villánykövesd

Mozart, the star of chocolate balls - an unusual Mozart portrait for children. If there is an absolute 'star' among the composers, Mozart is certainly one of them. Apart from his works, his personality too has inspired numerous creators as well as chocolate factory owners, and not only by chance. Conductor Máté Hámori will introduce Mozart's different musical worlds with a lot of fun, from the early works to the drama in the Requiem. The composer's life and personality will be made appealing to the children by using a few parts of letters, quotes or funny anecdotes. Not only Mozart's music and personality but even further his impact on the contemporary culture and his importance will be explained too, in a really dynamic, colourful and enjoyable format. After the lecture, hopefully all spectators will be able to take home a bit of the Mozart-magic!
