MárkusZínház

In 1987 Zsuzsanna Vajda and Gábor Pilári formed their strolling family puppet-theatre, the MárkusZínház, which became one of the most important children’s-theatre workshops since then. „Along our wanderings we feed and guide our children, and our animals, we saw and tinker our puppets and scenes, and play for the little ones and their parents as well, in wherever we are invited.”
The language and the Hungarian cultural heritage are very important to them: folk-literature, folktales, classical Hungarian literature, and the reflection of the audience, even having conversation with them – sometimes during the play as well.
On Saturday in the Talegarden of Palkonya they will tell us about the wheat, the harvest, the grinding along with all the necessary tools. And in the afternoon – when the sun is not so high anymore - they will perform us their tale, The Tree That Reaches the Sky.
