The Pál family’s concert

The Pál family comes from Subcarpathia, the Maramures region. Their life and activites are closely related to music. Lajos Pál head of the family was tutored in the Kijev Conservatory, and was chorus-master of the Kijev Opera. He is currently teaching, leading a quire and acting as musical editor in several theatrical productions, his wife, Jancsó Katalin Pálné a piano and solfége teacher is also a chorus-master. Their daughter Eszter Pál, leader of two quires, is interested in both classical and folk music, and while teacher, studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music.The son, István Pál started playing the violin at the Péterfalvi Music School, directed by his father. Grew up listening to classical music, he has always displayed a passion for folk music. He is now also studying at the Academy, undergoing master course. He has won several titles, and is renowned nationwide. The family’s multiple musical activities will be present in their performance. The audience will surely be lucky enough to hear folk, solo, instrumental, classical and also church music.
