The Borbély Workshop was founded around the millennium turn feeding from both folk and world music, as well as jazz and contemporary music. Their improvisational music can be characterized as a combination of different jazz trends, the heritage of the Carpathian and Balkan folk music, using interesting melody turns and sometimes subtly translucent, other times powerful rhythms, with additional contemporary musical elements.
