Galapiat Cirque: Risque ZérO (FR)

Galapiat is a word that means a rascal, a hobo, a scallywag in old French.

The six artists of the troupe have attended the french National School of Circus Arts (Ecole Nationale des Arts du Cirque) in Rosny-Sous-Bois and then the National Center of Circus Arts (Centre National des Arts du Cirque-CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne from which they graduated in 2006 and 2007.

In 2008, the newly created troupe set up their first collective production Risque ZérO. During a year, they performed in theaters, in the street and in big tops. They soon felt the necessity of touring in their own big top. That is when they decided to take the plunge and buy one. In March 2010 after having toured for a year and a half, a variety of experiences and with the return of Gilles Cailleau (director of Attention Fragile) who infused a new life into the show, they prepared a new version adapted to the big top.
