István Tasnádi: East Balkán

Bárka Theatre

The West Balkán tragedy opened the eye of many teenagers' parents: they have no clue about what’s happening with their children: a whole industrial branch was built up on the illusion of the common taste and values, which makes the thirteen-fourteen year age group (alcohol and drug-) consumer. East Balkán is a “found story”, it’s been crafted from interviews, conversations with parents, teachers and youngsters who are involved in Budapest ‘specialized’ night life. The aim was not to reconstruate the tragedy, but to analyze the dramatic process of ‘slipping in’..
