THE GOVERNER OF CALIGULA by JÁNOS SZÉKELY

The FÜGE Production and the VÁDLI Temporary Theatre Company are presenting in Sculpture Park:

It happened in Palestine in 39-41 AD. The Governor of Caligula is one of the greatest master-pieces of the Hungarian dramatic literature. It anatomises the relation between truth and lie looking for the answer to the question: how can a human being remain to be human - in power or exposed to the ones in power. It is about honour, friendship and loyalty. And about treachery and denial as well. About the question whether we have to carry out the command no matter how crazy it is, or to stand up against it sacrificing everything. Is it a traitor who finds his home in his own humanity or is he foredoomed to fail?
