Igrice Zither Ensemble: exhibition of 40 years
Our predecessors formed the ensemble celebrating its 40th jubilee this year named Pécs-Vasas Zither Ensemble. At the beginning of the ‘90s, due to the death its founder, Ferenc Major, the members disbanded and dispersed. Ten the ensemble was re-organized from the youth band with the lead of Jenő Onódy. Both the old and the new ensembles had many appearances. The name ‘Igrice’ was adopted in 2005 celebrating our 30th anniversary. We play in our current form since 4 years and would like to celebrate this illustrious anniversary worthily.
